GFA apologizes to Ghanaians for AFCON qualifiaction failure
The Ghana Football Association has apologized to Ghanaians for the inability of the Black Stars to qualify for the 2025 African Cup of Nations.
Ghana finished bottom in their group with just three points after six games and failed to win a single game during the qualifiers.
In a press release this morning, the Association has expressed its disappointment for the poor results and performance of the Black Stars.
“The Ghana Football Association (GFA) wishes to express its sincerest apologies to the good people of Ghana for the Black Stars’ inability to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025.
We understand the disappointment and frustration this failure has caused, and we share in the pain and sadness of our beloved fans. We acknowledge that the team’s performance did not meet the high expectations of the nation, and for that, we are truly sorry.” The statement read.
The last time Ghana failed to feature in the AFCON was in 2004.
