Frimpong Manso Aims to Lead Bibiani Goldstars to FA Cup Semifinals
Bibiani Goldstars head coach, Frimpong Manso, has set his sights on guiding his team to the latter stages of the MTN FA Cup but acknowledges the challenge ahead.
Bibiani Goldstars have progressed to the Round 32 of the FA Cup after defeating defending champions of the Ghana Premier League FC Samartex in the Round of 64.
Speaking about the team’s ambitions, Manso emphasized the unpredictable nature of the competition, particularly when facing lower-tier opponents.
“It is our hope to reach the semifinals, but it will be difficult,” Manso admitted.
The experienced coach noted that the FA Cup presents unique challenges, as lower-league teams often rise to the occasion with nothing to lose.
“The FA Cup can be difficult sometimes because any team can cause an upset. Lower league teams come into games believing they can cause an upset, so we need to be focused,” he added.
Gold Stars are also currently at the apex of the Ghana Premier League with 23 points.
