Dreams FC boss Winfred Dormon optimistic of turnaround ahead of Medeama clash
Head coach of Dreams Football Club, Winfred Dormon, has acknowledged the team’s difficult start to the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, but remains confident that their fortunes will soon change.
The Dawu-based club has endured a tough campaign so far, failing to record a victory in their opening four matches — losing three and drawing one.
Ahead of their Week 5 fixture against Medeama Sporting Club, Dormon expressed optimism that his side is well-prepared to secure their first win of the season.
In an interview with Dreams FC TV, the coach highlighted the team’s intense preparations and the technical team’s efforts to address their weaknesses.
“Our preparations for the Medeama game have been great. We dropped points against Vision FC, and we quickly did our recovery and switched our attention to Medeama. On Friday, the team will be ready to play,” Dormon said.
He admitted that while the team has played some attractive football, defensive lapses and a lack of clinical finishing have cost them valuable points.
“Dreams FC against Medeama SC on any other day is a crucial game. We are struggling, but we are playing some interesting football. It’s just that we are also conceding some bad, avoidable goals, and we are not scoring enough. The technical team has been working around the clock and making sure all departments are solid before Friday,” he added.
Dreams FC will travel to Tarkwa to face Medeama SC at the TnA Stadium on Friday, October 10, with kick-off scheduled for 4:30 pm. The encounter presents a crucial opportunity for Dormon’s men to claim their first three points of the season and boost team morale.
