CAF Club Rankings 2025: Dreams FC and Medeama SC Crack Africa’s Top 75
Ghana Premier League sides Dreams FC and Medeama SC have made it into the CAF top 75 club rankings for 2025, standing at 26th and 51st respectively, in the latest continental update released by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The list, which is based on club performances in CAF inter-club competitions over the last five years, notably excludes Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, two clubs traditionally regarded as powerhouses in Ghanaian football.
Dreams FC, riding high after their impressive run in the CAF Confederation Cup, emerged as Ghana’s highest-ranked team, with 12 points placing them ahead of several continental stalwarts.
Medeama SC, who represented Ghana in the CAF Champions League, also earned recognition with 4 points, securing a place among Africa’s top 75 clubs.

At the summit of the rankings, Al Ahly SC of Egypt maintain their dominance as the top-ranked club in Africa with 78 points, followed by Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa with 62 points, and Espérance de Tunis of Tunisia with 57 points.
The top 10 features heavyweights such as RS Berkane, Simba SC, Pyramids FC, and Zamalek SC, reflecting the consistent performances of clubs from North and Southern Africa in recent CAF tournaments.
