The Black Queens of Ghana are set to take on Morocco in an international friendly on Friday, February 21, 2025, at the Pere Jego Stadium in Casablanca; the GFA has confirmed.

This match, falling within the February FIFA international window, marks a critical step in the team’s preparation for the upcoming Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON) tournament scheduled for July.

Under the leadership of newly appointed head coach Kim Lars Björkegren, the Black Queens are focused on refining their tactics and building cohesion as they gear up for the continental championship.

The friendly not only serves as a test of the team’s readiness but also provides Coach Björkegren with a valuable opportunity to evaluate both the core squad and new players called up for the match.

Ghana’s Black Queens have been drawn into Group C of WAFCON, a challenging pool that includes defending champions South Africa, Mali, and Tanzania. With high stakes in the tournament, the friendly against Morocco will act as a crucial yardstick for the team’s competitiveness and readiness to contend for the title.
