Black Galaxies beat Great Olympics in friendly game

The Black Galaxies secured a commanding 4-1 victory over Great Olympics in a friendly match this morning at Prampram, underscoring their readiness for the upcoming African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.

The home-based national team, which has been training intensively in camp for nearly a month, demonstrated impressive cohesion and skill as they prepare for a critical double-header against Nigeria next month.

The game featured competitive play from both sides, but the Black Galaxies maintained the upper hand throughout. Standout player Yakubu Mohammed led the charge with two goals, while Abdul Rahman (Nsoatreman), Issah Yakubu (Baseke Holy Stars), and Saaka Dauda (Asante Kotoko) each found the net, sealing a decisive win for the team.

A win against Nigeria would secure the Black Galaxies a spot in the 2024 CHAN tournament, set to take place in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda from February 1-28, 2025.
