Aduana FC head coach Cioaba Aristica has openly criticized his side’s display following their narrow defeat to Berekum Chelsea in the Ghana Premier League.

The Dormaa-based club endured a frustrating outing on the road in their Week 28 fixture, falling 1-0 after a largely uninspiring performance over the full 90 minutes.

Reflecting on the result, Aristica did not hide his disappointment, acknowledging that his team failed to match the intensity of their opponents, who are battling to avoid relegation.

“We tried, but you know, Berekum Chelsea is a relegation team, and they are also fighting. It was a very bad game for my team. We had only one shot in 90 minutes, and it’s not good for the team,” the Aduana FC coach said.

The defeat has dealt a blow to Aduana’s league ambitions, with the former champions now slipping to fifth place in the standings. They currently trail leaders Bibiani Gold Stars by nine points with only six matches remaining in the season.

Attention now turns to a crucial Week 29 clash, where Aduana FC will face a stern test against the league leaders in what could prove decisive for their fading title hopes.
