Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo has urged football fans to rally behind the Black Stars as they prepare for their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar later this month.

The four-time African champions will regroup for Matchday 5 and 6 of the qualifiers, with two vital games that could determine their path to the next World Cup.

In a video shared by the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Semenyo emphasized the significance of fan support and encouraged Ghanaians to stand behind the team.

“Black Stars fans, Antoine Semenyo here. As you know, we’ve got our World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar, and I’m just reaching out to say continue praying for us, continue being with and supporting us,” he said.

The Bournemouth striker further stressed the importance of the upcoming matches in Ghana’s qualification campaign.

“We need you more than ever. These two games are so important and crucial for qualification to the World Cup, so please continue praying for us. We look forward to seeing you, and hopefully, we can get two wins.”

Ghana currently sits second in Group I with nine points, level with leaders Comoros. The Black Stars will first take on Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21, at 19:00 GMT, before traveling to Morocco to face Madagascar at the Grand Stade d’Al Hoceima on Monday, March 24
