Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo is determined to improve his performances for the Black Stars following his latest goal in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The Bournemouth striker opened the scoring in Ghana’s dominant 5-0 win over Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium, marking his first international goal since March 2023, when he found the net against Angola.

Despite his crucial contribution, Semenyo believes he has more to offer and is eager to become more consistent in front of goal.

“I definitely want more goals, for sure. I think any player that plays in an attacking position wants more goals,” Semenyo said in an interview with SuperSport.

Reflecting on his performances for Ghana, the 24-year-old admitted there have been ups and downs but remains focused on continuous improvement.

“I feel like it’s been some decent performances, some not great performances, but I mean, I’m quite humble. I know when I’ve played well. I know when I’ve played pretty badly,” he added.

Semenyo, who now has three goals in 21 appearances for Ghana, will be hoping to build on his latest strike as the Black Stars prepare to face Madagascar in another crucial World Cup qualifier tonight at 7pm.
