Andy Kumi Backs Young Apostles to Beat Relegation
Young Apostles forward Andy Kumi has voiced confidence in his team’s ability to avoid relegation as the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign approaches a decisive phase.
The Wenchi-based side are currently battling near the foot of the table and remain in the relegation zone with 11 fixtures left to play. Their survival bid suffered another blow over the weekend following a 2-0 defeat to Asante Kotoko, a result that left them with more ground to make up in the run-in.
However, Kumi, who previously played for Kotoko, believes the club still has what it takes to secure safety if they maintain belief and commitment.
“We believe we can survive relegation. It’s about hard work and determination. I urge our fans to keep supporting us. As players, we promise to give our very best to save our season,” he said.
Young Apostles now shift focus to a crucial Matchday 24 encounter against Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park, where they will be targeting a positive result to boost their chances of climbing out of danger.
With the league season entering its final stretch, the club will be relying on renewed spirit, collective effort, and improved consistency to preserve their top-flight status.
