Black Queens forward Sherifa Sumaila has voiced her strong backing for head coach Kim Lars Björkegren as Ghana prepares for a decisive 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) semifinal clash against tournament hosts Morocco.
After enduring a slow start to the competition, the Black Queens have gathered momentum at the right time and now find themselves on the brink of a historic return to the final — a feat last achieved in 2006.
