Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has paid a personal visit to injured Ghanaian winger Ernest Nuamah in France as the Olympique Lyon star continues his recovery from a knee injury.

Nuamah, who picked up the injury during a Ligue 1 clash against Lille, underwent successful surgery on his left knee and is currently undergoing rehabilitation. The 21-year-old forward, widely considered one of Ghana’s brightest attacking prospects, will miss the remainder of the season.

Coach Addo’s visit forms part of a broader initiative by the national team management to provide psychological and emotional support to players who are out of action due to injury.

The visit, which took place at Nuamah’s recovery base in France, was aimed at boosting the player’s morale and keeping him involved in the Black Stars’ long-term plans.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has also pledged full support to Nuamah during his recovery.

Nuamah has been a key component of the Black Stars’ attack since making his senior debut in 2023. His absence is a blow to Ghana’s squad depth, but the technical team remains hopeful that he will return to full fitness in time for the next phase of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, scheduled later this year.

With Ghana set to face Mali and Chad in the upcoming qualifiers, the Black Stars will be counting on a fit and firing Nuamah in the near future.
