The Odifour Care Foundation, led by sports journalist Enoch Akotei, popularly known as Odifour, has made a timely donation of examination materials to the final year students of Topease Methodist Junior High School in Asamankese.

The donation, which took place on Wednesday, June 5, 2025, forms part of the foundation’s broader mission to support underprivileged students as they prepare for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) scheduled for Wednesday, June 11, 2025.

Addressing students, teachers, and community members during a brief ceremony, Mr. Enoch Akotei, founder of the Odifour Care Foundation, delivered an emotional and inspiring speech, recounting his own academic journey and the difficulties he faced as a student.

“Distinguished guests, esteemed educators, and most importantly, our brilliant junior high school final year students,” he began.

“I am honored to stand before you today as the founder of Odifour Care Foundation to present a donation to support our 2025 BECE candidates who are about to embark on their final exams this month with basic writing materials—essential tools for their academic success.”

Akotei,  shared his personal experience of growing up with limited educational resources.

“There were times when paying school fees, buying books, or even having a decent meal was a challenge. The memory of struggling to find the means to register for exams still resonates deeply with me,” he recalled.

Moved by empathy and a sense of responsibility to his roots, Akotei emphasized that the donation was entirely self-funded and driven by a desire to create meaningful impact, no matter how modest and urged the students to remain focused

“My donation, though modest, comes from a place of genuine concern and empathy. I don’t have much; however, I’m committed to using the little I have to make a difference in the lives of these young individuals,” he said.

“I believe that every student deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their financial background.” Work hard, and never let circumstances define your future. Education is a powerful tool that transforms lives, and I’m humbled to play a part in this journey.”

The donation was warmly received by school authorities and students, who expressed gratitude for the timely gesture.

The Odifour Care Foundation continues to support educational development and youth empowerment across Ghana, with this latest initiative reaffirming its commitment to uplifting future leaders through access to essential resources.
