The top clash from the Premier League this weekend sees Aston Villa host Manchester United at Villa Park on the early evening of Sunday 11 February. The Red Devils defeated the Villans when the teams met at Old Trafford during the busy festive-season schedule, but you can bet manager Unai Emery will be itching for some revenge.

“In the Premier League, no game is simple – all teams have great qualities and a competitive spirit to always fight,” said Emery. “We have to live up to this example and also try to have this even better than our opponents. This has been a season of growth, but it can only continue if we have the right attitude.”

The round opens on Saturday afternoon with Manchester City hosting Everton at the Etihad Stadium and looking to put the pressure on title rivals Liverpool – who will host Burnley later the same day – and Arsenal, who have a tricky clash away to West Ham United on Sunday.

“We should start games better but it’s anyway about 98 minutes… it’s about winning the games in the end,” said Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. “As long as we stay in the game pretty much everything what happens in the game is allowed. We don’t have to perform for 98 minutes [at an] absolutely top level. It’s pretty rare.”

Other key matches include Nottingham Forest looking to complete a league ‘double’ over Newcastle United when the teams meet at the City Ground, a potential thriller between two very attack-minded teams when Tottenham Hotspur host Brighton & Hove Albion, and a round-closer on Monday night in which Crystal Palace will host Chelsea for a London derby.

“[Crystal Palace] helped me improve a lot as a player and a person. I’m very thankful and I look back at my memories there with joy, so I’m very grateful to the club,” said Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.
