PAC Chairman Cletus Avedzi and NSA Director General Prof. Peter Twumasi
Tempers flared up at the Public Accounts Committee sitting as its Chairman, James Klutse Avedzi, got angry at the Director General of the National Sports Authority, Professor Peter Twumasi.
The reason for Mr. Avedzi’s anger was that, Mr. Twumasi blatantly ignored a directive by the Minister for Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif.
Mr. Twumasi attempted to justify his decision to keep the Central Regional Director of the NSA stationed in Cape Coast, despite being instructed do otherwise by the Minister.
However, Mr. Twumasi’s explanation only served to interrupt the flow of Mr. Avedzi, prompting the Chairman to flare up.
“Director General, I am speaking! Why do you behave like this? Is this how you teach your children? When someone speaks, do you let your children interrupt?” he exclaimed in frustration.
