Coach Prosper Narteh-Ogum makes U-TURN to Kumasi snubs Hearts of Oak SC

Giant’s Asante Kotoko SC has explored all avenues to appoint a new coach for their upcoming league season but has finally settled on their former trainer, Prosper Narteh Ogum following the departure of Seydou Zerbo, a Burkinabe trainer.

The Ghanaian top-flight club has engaged the one-time Premier league winner to return to the outfit after a season departure. Prosper led the Reds to their record (25) league title in 2021-22 season but left after failing to reach agreement with the then Management of the club led by Nana Yaw Amponsah.

The news was surprising that, Asante Kotoko SC had to part ways with a manager who won them the league title in his first season with the club.

However, Narteh Ogum has made a sensational U-turn to the side and expected to lead them for the upcoming 2023-24 campaign if reports come from Manhyia is anything to go by. Manhyia, the decision body of the Porcupine Warriors have met with the coach over his return.

Prosper is believed to have given his consent and expressed readiness to return provided his demands are met. A reported period of three-years is prepared for him.

The former WAFA SC gaffer was just an inch closer to joining Accra Hearts of Oak SC after talks was held many months but snubbed them for a return to Kumasi, after the side failed to meet his demands.

Nkrataasem.com can exclusively confirm that, Narteh Ogum has accepted the offer but putting up some demands in his contract before putting pen to paper in August, 2023.
