Didi Dramani Calls for Consistency as Hearts of Oak Edge Samartex
Hearts of Oak head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has urged his players to turn Friday night’s narrow victory over FC Samartex into a platform for sustained improvement, insisting consistency will be key to their ambitions this season.
The Phobians secured a vital 1–0 win at the University of Ghana Stadium on Matchday 16, with Hamza Issah’s first-half effort proving decisive in a closely contested encounter.
While pleased with the result, Dramani was quick to underline that isolated wins are not enough, stressing the need for steady standards in performance and understanding within the squad.
“We have to be deliberate, and to be deliberate means this is how we have to go, we have to be consistent. The consistency is that you will see us doing the same things all over again, and the last part is that we need to understand each other and be patient,” he said.
The Hearts coach also acknowledged that challenges are inevitable as the team continues to define its playing identity, calling for resilience during difficult moments.
“If we are talking about identity, there will be times when there are challenges and times when we will show our strengths, so when the challenges come, we need to bear with them.”
Dramani highlighted the importance of squad depth and gradual integration of younger players, noting that every member of the team has a role to play.
“For me, in my team every player is important. I’ve played every player, and the young ones, I’m bringing them in at the right time so they can adapt better.”
After 16 matches, Hearts of Oak sit fifth in the Ghana Premier League standings with 28 points, having recorded seven wins, seven draws and two defeats so far.
