Asante Kotoko SC completes signing of youngster Bernard Somuah

Giant’s Asante Kotoko SC have confirmed the signing of wonder-kid Bernard Somuah for the upcoming 2023-24 league season.

The Ghanaian winger, after impressive performance with the Premier League club during their preseason has caught the eye of the technical handlers, asuch secured himself a long-term contract. He has penned down a three-year contract with huge prospect at his exposure.

Asante Kotoko captured Bernard Somuah’s signature from Afigya Liberty.

The 17-year-old has featured in three of the Club’s four pre-season friendlies and officially became a Porcupine after passing his medical on Tuesday.

Somuah scored 22 goals last season for his former club and has become an instant fans favourite in the three games he has featured for the Reds.

Prosper Narteh Ogum is excited to have the skulfful goal threat in his team for the upcoming season.

“He’s a brilliant player, and he has all the qualities of a modern-day winger,” Dr Ogum told scasantekotoko.com.

“He has hunger for goals, a vision to see the dangers around him, and use space.

“Somuah is technically gifted, and all he needs is to remain disciplined, and I am confident that Kotoko has gotten a real talent,” he noted.

Dr. Ogum urged club supporters to be patient with the youngster.

“I will plead with the fans to have patience for him and not to overhype him, but to support him and see what the future holds for us.”
