Accra 2023 African games media accreditation portal opens, closes February 10

The Local Organizing Committee for the 13th African Games, Accra 2023 has opened the online media accreditation portal for journalists and media practitioners wishing to cover the continental multi-sport event slated for March 2024.

According to a statement from the LOC Chairman Dr. Kwaku Ofori-Asare, “The media accreditation application portal for the 13th African Games is now available at https://sys.com/online-application-form/7i/k5/wR/gY/gY/oVz/index.

Interested media representatives are encouraged to apply before the deadline of February 10, 2024 to be eligible for accreditation to report on the Games.”

Dr. Ofori-Asare further noted that “The 13th African Games will take place in two host cities – Accra and Cape Coast. The women’s U-20 soccer competition will be based in Cape Coast while other sports will be held in Accra at venues like the Accra Sports Stadium and Theodosia Okoh National Hockey Pitch in Legon.”

The online portal caters for categories including print media, commentators, videographers, photographers and non-rights holding organizations.

Successful applications will be notified via email according to the LOC chairman who added that “All applications will be considered but not purely on a first-come-first-served basis.”
