FC Samartex 1996 announce Amadu Nurudeen as new head coach

The experienced Ghanaian gaffer, Nurudeen Amadu has been confirmed new manager of the Premier League side after fruitful negotiations on Tuesday evening.

The former King Faisal FC boss signed a two-year contract to manage the outfit as they keep their focus on making history in the country’s elite division. FC Samartex 1996 joined the Ghanaian top-flight in 2022-23 season after clinching the Division One League Zone Two title for qualification.

In their maiden campaign, they finished 10th position and is hoping to do better in the upcoming season.

Decision to appoint Amadu was necessary, after losing their head coach Annor Walker immediately the season ended. He left the side to reunite with his former club Accra Great Olympics FC.

Club announcement of Amadu’s appointment reads; “We’re delighted to announce an experienced tactician, Amadu Nurudeen as our new Head Coach”The experienced gaffer joins us on a 2-year deal.

“He last coached Future Stars and did incredible work for the Division One side”

Amadu has national team coaching experience having managed the Ghana national U-17 team, Black Starlets as assigned coach and Ghana U-20 men’s also as deputy coach.

He holds CAF License B and A certificates in football coaching.
