Ghanaian international Mohammed Kudus enjoyed a dream start to life at Tottenham Hotspur, registering an assist in their 2-0 preseason victory over Reading at the Select Car Leasing Stadium on Saturday.

Making his first appearance for Spurs since completing a summer move from West Ham United, Kudus wasted no time showcasing his flair and vision, delighting fans with a lively performance. The 24-year-old midfielder was instrumental throughout the match, creating a game-high three chances and linking play effectively in midfield.

Tottenham broke the deadlock shortly after halftime when young striker Will Lankshear nodded home a close-range header. Moments later, Kudus announced his arrival in style. Picking up possession just outside the area, he slipped a perfectly weighted pass to Croatian defender Luka Vuskovic, who calmly slotted in Spurs’ second with a low left-footed strike into the bottom corner in the 53rd minute.

Kudus’ ability to read the game and pick out teammates added a fresh dimension to Tottenham’s attack, with his performance drawing loud approval from the travelling supporters.

The match ended 2-0 in favour of Spurs, who also kept a clean sheet to cap off an encouraging outing. For Kudus, it was a promising debut that hinted at a bright future under manager Ange Postecoglou as Tottenham continue their preparations for the upcoming season.
