Head coach of Bibiani Goldstars, Frimpong Manso, has expressed his frustration following his side’s 1-1 draw against Hearts of Oak in a hard-fought Ghana Premier League (GPL) Week 25 clash at Dun’s Park over the weekend.

Goldstars were the dominant team throughout the game, creating several goal-scoring opportunities, including a missed penalty early in the second half. However, they eventually took the lead late in the game through a Gideon Anaba penalty.

Just when victory seemed secured for the Miners, Stephen Appiah Asare struck deep into stoppage time (94th minute) for Hearts of Oak, salvaging a dramatic point for the visitors.

Speaking after the match, Manso was visibly disappointed, believing his team deserved to win based on their overall performance.

“Gold Stars should have won the game against Hearts of Oak because we created a lot of chances,” he stated.

Despite their strong display, the inability to capitalize on their chances cost them two valuable points, leading to a slip from first place to second on the league table with 37 points.
