“We know the huge challenge awaiting us in Ghana” – Angola coach

Pedro Gonçalves is aware of the big task awaiting him and Angola in Ghana on Thursday in the 2023 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

He forsees a difficult encounter ìn their 1st leg epic clash in Kumasi before a reverse fixture in Luanda three days later.

Angola will be hosted at the Baba Yara Stadium with kick-off scheduled at 16:00GMT.

Ahead of the game, Goncalves is expecting a tough game.

According to him, despite the change of coach, the playing philosophy will not change.

“We know the difficulties we are going to encounter, but we are ready to play a good game in Kumasi,” Gonçalves told reporters.

“It is obvious that Ghana has changed coaches but I believe there won’t be much change in what from their performance at the World Cup,” he added.

Both Angola and Ghana are expected to train at the Baba Yara Stadium later today before the game on Thursday.

Ghana after two games in Group E, are joint top alongside Angola with both teams with four points.
