French Ligue 1 clubs, Marseille and Monaco are in serious chase for Ghanaian defender Salisu Mohammed.

The Ghana international who was very phenomenal at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar for the Black Stars, has seen his performance catch the eye of the aforementioned clubs. Monaco and Marseille are in tug-of-war to snatch the center-back from English Premier league side Southampton in this January transfer window.

Monaco appears serious to replace Benoit Badiashile who joined Chelsea few days ago in a €40m deal, with the Ghanaian player.

Salisu, 23, appears doing great with the Giant’s having made 22 appearance in the ongoing season as a starter, though his side looks battling relegation.

He joined Southampton last two seasons and has proved to be a top-notch defender with his current market transfer at €18m. However, the Saints will let go off him with any fee less than that.
