The Ghana international have not played football for two weeks due to an injury he picked up at training prior to September international break.

Partey, 30, has already missed two Premier league games for Arsenal and as that, could not play a part in Ghana’s 2023 AFCON qualifier game against Central African Republic. He was excluded from the squad as Ghana managed to triumph over CAR 2-1 at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

He equally missed the 3-1 win over Liberia in an international friendly in Accra on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.

He is hoping to return to the field for club side, Arsenal by next month.

He visited the treatment room with a groin injury and failed to feature in Arsenal’s 3-1 Premier league win at home to Manchester United.

Partey is eying a quick return to the field by October but his progress will be closely monitored by the Gunners’ medical team.

He is expected to play a key role in Ghana coach, Chris Hughton’s first AFCON experience in Ivory Coast next year.
