Asante Kotoko’s run of games without a win continue as they played out a 1-1 draw with Tamale City at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.

The Porcupines are now winless in their previous three matches and with one win in five matches in the domestic top-flight.

Kotoko thought they had taken all three points after scoring late from an own goal initiated by a Steven Mukwala’s teasing low cross into the box.

Only for them to be left crestfallen three later as Babamu Ibrahim equalised in the 88th minute with a fine goal.

Nonetheless, the draw moves them to within a point of league leaders Aduana FC who take on Kotoko Royals on Thursday afternoon.

The reigning champions will travel to Bibiani Gold Stars in their next match while Tamale City face King Faisal at the Baba Yara Stadium.
