Ghana Football Association (GFA) General Secretary, Prosper Harrison Addo has reiterated that Chris Hughton is the right man Ghana coaching job after few months being in charge.

Chris was officially unveiled as Black Stars boss in March with few days to Ghana’s AFCON qualifier game against Angola.

According to Harrison Addo, the former Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton and Hove Albion manager should be given the support and he will deliver, considering how good he was against Angola in the double-header encounter. Chris picked 4 points from both matches after drawing away and winning 1-0 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

He was an integral member of the Black Stars technical team that led Ghana to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, asuch Prosper Harrison Addo says he is the right man for the job and has backed him to deliver.

“Chris Hughton was part of the technical team that qualified Ghana for the World Cup so there was no need to bring in another person apart from him,” he told Asempa FM.

“We have all seen how he has started as Black Stars coach so let us all support and he will deliver,” he added.

Hughton who signed 21-months contract will hope to lead the Black Stars to end the country’s 41 yeas AFCON trophy drought in Ivory Coast next year.
