Slavko Matic on Tuesday lead Hearts of Oak SC to halt Nsoatreman FC home dominance in the 2022-23 BetPawa Premier League, following a narrow win in Nsoatre.

Debutants Nsoatreman FC lost at home to bring their four home games winning struck to an end.

Hearts of Oak SC with a second half goal from Kwadwo Obeng Junior, carried the day with all three points to ensure they lie good on the league log. The away victory also stretched Matic’s unbeaten run to 6 games having won 4 and drawn 2 since his appointment as head coach.

The Serbian trainer after the encounter lauded the attitude of his players.

Stating that, his side were better on the day and deserve the victory.

“Congratulations to my players. They once again showed attitude and amazing character,” the 46-year-old gaffer said.

“During the second-half we changed the positioning of some players and they adapted very well. I think the better team won today. We changed the system from 4-4-2 to 4-2-3-1 and made a lot more high presses and were aggressive on the second balls,” he added.

The victory puts Hearts of Oak SC second on the standings after match day 9 game.
