Sheriff Tiraspol defender Patrick Kpozo admit difficulties in Ghana Premier League
“It was difficult playing in the Ghana Premier League” – Patrick Kpozo
Patrick Kpozo is currently making waves in Moldova with FC Sheriff Tiraspol after joining them two season’s ago.
Patrick left the shores of Ghana in 2015, having spend a year-and-a-half with Inter Allies FC in the Ghanaian top-flight. He made a sensational move to Swedish top-flight side, AIK Stockholm.
With his sterling performance with Sheriff, the 25-year-old earned a call-up to Black Stars of Ghana in Chris Hughton’s first call-up since his appointment.
“It’s tough playing in the local league by then but for me I’m a hard worker so I work hard and I think that is what made me move quickly.” Patrick Kpozo told GhanaWeb’s Sports Check.
Sheriff Tiraspol had loan stints at Tromsoe and IFK Lulea in between a permanent move to Oestersunds FK.
He was a member of Ghana’s U-20 squad that played at the 2015 FIFA World Cup in New Zealand.
