Sellas Tetteh: I’m jobless and I need more financial help

As Oliver Twist will put it, ‘asks for more’ former Ghana U-20 head coach Sellas Tetteh has urged individuals and government institutions such as tye National Sports Authority, Ministry of Youth and Sports (MoYS) and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to come to his aid financially since he is jobless.

The veteran Ghanaian Coach last worked for Liberty Professionals FC as technical director in the 2021-22 Ghana Premier league season but was hit will illness for a period of time.

Tetteh, is the only Ghanaian and African coach to win the FIFA U-20 World Cup after dispatching Brazil on penalties in 2009. Same year, he led the team to conquer African by clinching the U-20 AFCON yet is not financially stable having seen authorities snub him and refused to honour him with his arrears.

On Monday, a delegation from the Sports Ministry led by Deputy Minister Evans Bobie visited the residence of Sellas Tetteh to donate a sum of GHC 50,000 to clear off his hospital expenses.

“Bobo” as he is affectionately known, has asked for me from authorities since he is week and jobless.

” I am very happy and grateful for the gift the MOYS gave me yesterday and this will really help me since I am jobless currently, I pray for more of these helps that will keep me going”, he told Accra based Hot FM .
