Roma concluded their tour of Algarve with a resounding 3-0 victory over Waalwijk in a friendly with Abraham, El Shaarawy and Zaniolo scoring and assisting each other.

After the final whistle, the team boarded a plane to Rome where they will spend their holidays. Mourinho has given the team three days of rest before resuming training ahead of the first match against Bologna on 4 January.

The Special One, however, stayed behind in order to spend the holidays with his relatives in Portugal.

According to earlier reports, Mourinho is also scheduled to meet with the Portuguese federation on 26 December, and discuss the details of the national team’s managerial vacancy.
