REPORTS: Hearts of Oak attacker Daniel Afriyie Barnieh rejects offer from C.D. Leganés

Ghanaian hot-cake, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh received an interest from Spanish club, C.D. Leganés but has reportedly declined the transfer.

He currently plays for Ghana Premier League giant’s Hearts of Oak SC but will have his two and half year contract run out in December 31, 2022. Attempts by the Phobians to renew his contract has failed with the player not interested in staying for another period.

Having secured a place in Ghana’s final 26-man squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the former Ghana U-20 captain is on a rise and attracting interest from several clubs in Europe.

Spanish club, C.D. Leganés having expressed interest in him, offered US$400,000 for the 21-year-old old forward but seen it rejected by the representative of the player.

Currently, Barnie in Egypt with the Black Galaxies for camping as they prepare for the 2022 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) in Algeria next year from January 13-4 February.

During, the CHAN qualifiers Afriyie Barnieh was in tremendous form, were he netted three goals in four appearances against Benin and Nigeria.

However, has just a goal to his name this season for Hearts of Oak SC in four games.
