Referee Daniel Laryea and Kwesi Brobbey arrive in Algeria for CHAN tournament
Ghanaian referees Daniel Laryea and Kwesi Brobbey have touchdown in Algeria ahead of 2022 TotalEnergies African Nations Championship.
Brobbey, have been named in the list of assistant referees to run the lines at the upcoming tournament.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF), has selected 18 center referees for the tournament alongside 19 assistant referees which includes the Ghanaian match officials.
Kwasi Brobbey who has successfully made the list as one of the assistant referees is based in Accra, the capital of Ghana with vast experience in officiating having handed CAF sanctioned matches.
He works with the Ghana Library Board and is one of the only three referees in Ghana with Diploma in refereeing.
His compatriot Daniel Laryea who has been assigned to the Video Assistant Referee(VAR) room is also ready for the assignment.
The duo arrived in Algeria on Tuesday evening.
The competition will start between 13 January and 04 February 2023 in Algeria.
18 countries including the hosts Algeria will contest the prize.
