Tamale City FC kingpin, Sampson Eduku has pledged to inspire his outfit to a successful 2022-23 BetPawa Premier League campaign despite struggling down there after 16 games.

The Northern-based outfit which gained promotion to the country’s elite division for the 2022-23 BetPawa Premier League is relinquishing in the Red zone of the log (17th position) and getting a firm position on the standings is becoming difficult.

Having played 16 matches, the newcomers only boost of 15 points following three wins, six draws and seven(7) defeats.

However, Sampson Eduku who joined the club earlier this season is confident Tamale City will escape relegation and vows to rescue them to retain their Premiership ticket.

“My performance and qualities have being able to define my status as a player, which is why I was nominated as player of the Month award for January” And I hope to continue doing more for the club by scoring or assisting”

“With that, I will do my possible best to move my club from the relegation bottom. We don’t deserve to be down there”, Eduku told Kumasi-based radio station Asanteman FM 107.3 in an interview

The former Karela United FC, Hasaacas FC and Elmina Sharks striker in the ongoing campaign scored 6 goals with three assists.

Eduku has scored against teams like, Kotoku Royals, Bibiani GoldStars SC and Accra Hearts of Oak SC.
