Premier league debutants FC Samartex shock leaders Aduana Stars
At the Samerboi Park, Ghana Premier League newcomers FC Samartex halted league leaders Aduana Stars FC with narrow victory.
Aduana Stars FC four games unbeaten run came to an end following a 1-0 defeat to the Timber Giant’s in week 20 fixture. The visitors after dispatching Accra Hearts of Oak SC, went ahead to draw goalless with Bechem United FC then MTN FA Cup triumph over Asante Kotoko SC before a 0-0 drew to King Faisal FC.
They were hoping to stretch their unbeaten run but were stunned with a lone goal away to FC Samartex.
33rd minute goal from Isaac Afful handed Samartex the much needed win to move up the log with 29 points, now sitting 8th position.
The lost leaves Aduana Stars FC with 36 points but still top of table.
