People are using the GFA for business and feeding their families – Member of Parliament Sam George reveals
Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram Constituency, Sam George says Ghana Football Association is being used as a business office at the detriment of the nation.
Several allegations has been levelled against members of the Ghana Football Association regards to national team call-ups especially with the Black Stars.
According to the deputy ranking member of Ghana’s Parliament, the Ghana Football Association has turned the association to money making venture and not making the game of football grow neither attractive in the West African Country.
“People are using the GFA for business. Lets go and look for money and eat. They’re using it to feed their families”, he told Joy News.
“You want proof? Someone tell me, how Baba Rahman found his way into the last squad for Ghana game at the World Cup”
“Is Baba Rahman agent not our GFA President? People should not annoy us in this country, we are annoyed and already roaming whiles laughing, they should not worsen matters with us”
Ghana is yet to replace Otto Addo after his resignation last month at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The doors of the FA is opened for interested coaches to apply with several top-notch managers putting up their application.
But Sam George says, the coaching role has been offered to Chris Hughton stating why he got the job.
“Black Stars coaching job has been given to Chris Hughton already, let’s not waste our time on this”
“They[GFA] want one they can manipulate, someone they can use to do their business, someone they can tell to bring his team selection to be scrutinised”
