Otto Addo names 25 players for Angola and Niger clash

Head Coach for the Black Stars of Ghana, Otto Addo has announced his 25-man-squad for the crucial AFCON qualifiers against Angola and Niger.

Ghana are third in Group F with just 2 points and are on the verge of not qualifying for the AFCON earmarked for Morocco next year.

The squad is without Arsenal’s Thomas Teye Partey. The injured players are Monaco’s Mohammed Salisu, Abdul Mumin, Abdul Salis Samed, Majeed Ashimeru, Daniel Kofi Kyereh and Ibrahim Sadiq.  Kotoko’s Frederick Asare has also missed out.

Goalkeeper Abdul Nurudeen has returned to the squad while three local players have been called. The local players are  FC Samartex left-back Isaac Afful, Nations FC’s Razak Simpson and Asante Kotoko’s Emmanuel Antwi.

Ghana will face Angola on 15th November 2024 at the  Estádio 11 de Novembro in Luanda before playing the final game against Niger at the Accra sports stadium on 18th November.
