Joy Sports’ Muftawu Nabila Abdulai who was at the police station reported that the Director General was in police custody over alleged fraud following the failure of the NSA to pay Mum and Sons company for providing new year hampers to the authority in January this year.

However, reported efforts to receive payments proved futile forcing the company to first, report the NSA to EOCO, and later to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, before involving the Ghana Police Service after it emerged that a different company had been entered as the winner of the contract to provide the hampers.
