Nigeria beat hosts Ghana to win MEA Rugby League Championship

Nigeria are champions of the 2022 Middle East Africa (MEA) Rugby League Championship after defeating hosts Ghana in the grand finale.

The visitors secured an emphatic 34-4 win at the Mensah Sarbah Hall Park, University of Ghana, Legon.

Nigeria entered the competition as the defending champions.

Kenya defeated West Africans Cameroon 16-0 to secure a third-place finish.

Nigeria and Ghana have booked their tickets to next year’s MEA Rugby League Championship in South Africa.
