Ghanaian striker who trades his mark with Ghana Premier League side Bibiani GoldStars, Abednego Tetteh has set sight on finishing top four with his outfit at the end of 2022-23 league campaign.

According to him, he is not interested in competing for the top scorer award in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season but rather would be satisfied if his team finishes in a respectable position.

After losing to Medeama in their previous match, the Miners bounced back with a crucial victory over Legon Cities on Monday at Duns Park, propelling them to sixth place on the log.

Abednego Tetteh contributed significantly to the victory, scoring twice to bring his personal tally to ten. In terms of goals, he is tied for second with Bechem United’s Hafiz Konkoni and Asante Kotoko’s Stephen Mukwala, but two fewer than Berekum Chelsea’s Mezack Afriyie, who has 12.

Speaking after the victory, Abednego Tetteh said his team’s success was more important than his personal achievement.

“My target is first for my team to be in the top four if not winning the league but for the goal king is a secondary matter, when I win it I will give thanks to God.

“I hope so but that is not my target now, the target is to help my team to be in the top four,” he said.

GoldStars will visit Real Tamale United on April 14 after the Easter break.
