The Black Stars of Ghana this afternoon will lock horns with Angola in match day four fixture of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The crunchy encounter will be the reverse fixture after Angola travelled to suffer a 1-0 defeat in Kumasi to Ghana last Thursday. Antoine Semenyo of AFC Bournemouth climbed off the bench to score his second international goal but the only strike of the game to inspire Ghana to a narrow victory.

Ghana has bright opportunity to sail through with 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifications ticket but that will be, a win over the Palancas Negras of Angola in Luanda to make their remaining Group E matches a mere formality and for the records.

Both the technical team and playing body left the shores of Ghana on Saturday with the hope of putting up tactical strategies to stun Angola at their backyard. Meanwhile, head coach Chris Hughton will be missing the services of Skipper Andre Ayew, Mohammed Salisu and Alexander Djiku.

The trio are injured and will not be part of match day squad.

Nevertheless, Charles Amofa who is now the Spokesperson for the Ministry Of Youth & Sports, alongside officials of the ministry has wished the team well and urging them to go all out for a win.

“The most important of this task was achieved here in Ghana at Baba Yara Sports Stadium and we believe, it’s not above their abilities to do it in Luanda”

“The entire team of the Sports Ministry is solemnly behind them with confidence that they will bring smiles to the faces of the Ghanaian community”We as Ghanaians will do our part by supporting and praying for a good day.

“Most Ghanaians are already proud of them all and we know, they will carry the big news to Ghana” Wishing the technical and playing body the very best in their game against Angola, Go Black Stars Go Ghana”

The four-time African champions have amassed 7 points from three matches and currently the king in Group E with Angola second on the log having gathered 4 points.
