Medeama SC will travel to Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Sunday to face debutants Tamale City FC in their 2022-23 BetPawa Premier League game.

The match week 17 fixture is considered a difficult one by the visitors having failed to impress in the ongoing campaign. The Mauves and Yellow outfit have amassed 8 points in 8 away games, picking wins over Legon Cities FC and King Faisal FC.

Tamale City FC on the other hand, boost of 12 points in their 8 home matches having scored 13 goals and conceded 10 along the way.

Ahead of the encounter, Communication director of Medeama SC Patrick Akoto admits the clash will be a difficult one but promise to put up their best of performance.

“The last away game going to beat King Faisal 3-2, we knew it will be tough game because it has always been a lose or draw so the fact that, beating King Faisal in Kumasi is a big deal and we beat Samartex at home too”

“So going to Tamale, we know is always a difficult ground for us but we could try hard over there. Preparation towards the game as normal like we do for every other game. If you beat Tamale City it’s 3 points, Samartex 3 points every team goes for 3 points”.

“But of course, Tamale City is very strong at home we haven’t watched them very close but one thing that is for sure is they are playing infront of their fans. Every team is extra motivated when playing home when they get the additional number 12”, Akoto told Subanpa FM in an interview.

“Very difficult game, no doubt about it we have absolute respect for Tamale City for what they have done in the Premiership when they arrived but we also want to go and do well in Tamale”

“So let’s see what happens on Sunday”

Game is scheduled for Sunday afternoon at exactly 3:00 PM at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
