Tamale City FC recorded win over their former Division One League rivals Nsoatreman FC on Wednesday afternoon at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.

The 2022-23 BetPawa Premier League match-week 24 game saw Tamale City winners in a 2-1 scoreline.

Following the victory, Tamale City have moved away from the relegation zone to 14th when they started the day on 16th. Tamale City now have 28 points from 24 games.

Meanwhile, Nsoatreman FC maintain their place in 11th with 30 points.

John Kofi gave the visitors a heartbreak late in the game after firing the ball into his own net with 7 minutes to the end of the game.

Nsoatreman did not relent as they kept on pushing and finally got the equalizer in the second minute of stoppage time. Walid Fuseini scored the leveler for the visiting party.

However, Tamale City did not give up and still pushed for the winner, their efforts were rewarded in the 95th minute when Mathew Agama netted the winner to power them to victory.

Tamale City travel to Dormaa to play as guests to Aduana FC on Sunday in week 25 while Nsoatreman will host Bechem United the same day.
