MATCH REPORT: Hearts of Oak SC thrash GAP Academy as they awaits ASR Bamako

The Phobians took on lower-tier side GAP Academy in a friendly encounter as they prepare extensively for their second leg game of the 2022-23 CAF Confederation Cup against AS Real Bamako.

Hearts of Oak SC beat GAP Academy to send strong warning to Malian side AS Real Bamako, whom they will host in the Capital on Sunday. The Continental Club Masters suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat to AS Real Bamako in the first leg away in Mali.

On Wednesday afternoon, they entertained the lower tier were they demolished them 6-0 at the Pobiman Sports Complex.

Goals from defender Samuel Inkoom, talisman Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Gideon Asante and Fatawu Mohammed inspired Hearts of Oak SC to an emphatic win with a brace from striker Isaac Mensah.

Hearts of Oak SC will lock horns with AS Real Bamako on Sunday hoping to overturn the scoreline and secure qualification to the next stage of the competition.
