Fatao Mohammed's late strike gives King Faisal vital win over Dreams FC
King Faisal FC who are determined to survive relegation continued their impressive performance under new manager Ignatius Osei-Fosu to beat Dreams FC at the Kwame Kyei Sports complex on Sunday.
The Insha Allah Boys humbled Dreams FC by 2-1 in 2022-23 BetPawa Premier League match-week 26 fixture.
Dreams FC had a brilliant start to the game and opened the scores in ten minutes through Mohammed Abubakar who scored a solo goal.
King Faisal FC in an attempt to respond to the visitors, created two quick chances, a free kick from Godfred Asiamah and a towering Samuel Boakye’s header but all couldn’t find the net.
Exactly on the half hour mark, sensational Ghanaian play-maker Baba Yahaya was introduced after replacing Samuel Adom. Eight minutes later, Yahaya announced his presence with a goal, that was the leveller.
Agyenim Boateng Mensah after recess, got Dreams FC underway but his strong hit aiming at goal went wide.
The ‘Insha Allah’ side broke on a counter, Samuel Kusi with a glorious opportunity to put his side in front for the first time in the game but shot straight at the throat of the away team’s goalkeeper.
Both teams from then, took the game at each other resulting into an even exchanges with the homesters slightly on top.
King Faisal finally snatched the winner with just a minute to full time- kind courtesy Fatao Mohammed who scored with a belter to claim all three points. It ended 2-1 after full time.
