MATCH REPORT: Bibiani GoldStars SC share spoils with Asante Kotoko SC

Bibiani GoldStars SC continued their brilliant run in the ongoing 2022-23 BetPawa Premier League following a draw at home.

They hosted Asante Kotoko SC at the Dun’s Park on Monday in match day 13 fixture. At full time, the results ended 1-1.

The Miner’s had the first share of the game but could not make it count as they conceded the opener in the stoppage time of first half. Ugandan forward Steven Mukwala broke the deadlock exactly on the 45+8 minute mark.

Four minutes after break, the host won a penalty following a controversial penalty awarded to them.

Yahaya Adraman levelled for the Bibiani GoldStars SC.

They continued to frustrate the visitors and eventually kept their shape in defense with aim of amassing all points infront of their supporters. However, 70th minute penalty was saved by Asante Kotoko SC Goalkeeper Frederick Asare to deny the host an important win.

The draw sends Bibiani GoldStars SC 5th on the league standings with 20 points whiles Asante Kotoko SC sit 3rd with 20 points with goals better off GoldStars and Hearts of Oak SC.
