MATCH REPORT: Asante Kotoko SC clash with Bechem United ends 1-0

Asante Kotoko SC managed to amass a win over difficult side Bechem United FC with a 1-0 triumph on Wednesday afternoon at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

First half goal from Ghanaian youngster Morrison was priceless to award the reigning champions a deserving home victory. Enoch Morrison with a brilliant left-foot strike from the edge of the box, gave the host the lead infront of their supporters.

His 22th minute strike was enough to hold Asante Kotoko SC through to the first half with a goal lead despite Bechem United haunting them with an equalizer after Hafiz Konkoni and Clinton Duodu made two incursions at goal.

Coach Kassim Mingle seeing his side thrilling by a lone goal believed they could secure a point from the epic encounter but later did they know, tactically the Reds were superior than his boys.

In the second department, the Hunters created few goalscoring opportunities yet could not connect to the goalpost of Danlad Ibrahim who had returned to the side after many weeks due to National team assignment.

Bechem United FC with a 1-0 defeat, hands all points to Asante Kotoko SC who had 28 points prior to the clash.

The win means, Asante Kotoko SC takes over the second position with 31 points behind Aduana Stars FC whiles Bechem United FC replaces the Porcupine Warriors at the 3rd place with 28 points after 19 matches.
