Matchday 3 of the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League produced some interesting performances and results across all match centres over the weekend.

Ash-Town Ladies were big winners in the Northern Zone following their 4-1 victory over newcomers Candy Soccer Academy. Josephine Addowaa scored twice while Blessing Asobia and Agnes Owusu were all on target for the home team.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies’ title defence looks to be taking shape as three goals in the second half saw them defeat Dreamz Ladies with a 3-0 score.

Fabulous Ladies remain winless after three games following their 3-2 loss to Pearlpia Ladies on Friday.

Supreme Ladies and Northern Ladies played out a 2-2 stalemate while the game between Tamale Super Ladies and Prisons Ladies is scheduled for Monday, October 24.

In the Southern Zone, Faith Ladies bounced back to winning ways as they sealed a 3-1 victory over Army Ladies.

Doreen Copson and Doris Boaduwaa were on target once again as Hasaacas Ladies beat Police Ladies by four goals to nil. Boaduwaa was involved in all four goals at Gyandu Park.

Berry Ladies made it back-to-back wins in the women’s top-flight following their defeat to Hasaacas Ladies on the opening weekend. Mercy Tagoe’s side earned a 2-0 win over LadyStrikers.

Soccer Intellectuals held Essiam Socrates to a draw with Janet Amo scoring for the home side while Catherine Arthur was on the scoresheet for the visitors.

In what was a thrilling encounter at the Madina Astro Turf and the Malta Guinness featured game, Ridge City came from two goals down to secure a 3-3 draw against Thunder Queens on Sunday afternoon. The Panthers having gained promotion this season are without a win in their first three games and have lost only once.

Cecilia Agyiri scored twice for the home team with Loretta Afful completing the comeback.
