Malta Guinness WPL: Ampem Darkoa Ladies suffers 2:1 defeat to Fabulous Ladies

Disappointed Ampem Darkoa Ladies suffers their first defeat in the ongoing 2022-23 Malta Guinness Women Premier League against Fabulous Ladies at the Bantama Kokooase Astro Turf Park on Sunday 30 October.

The reigning Women’s Premier League champions, Ampem Darkoa ladies started with high hopes but Fabulous Ladies on the other hand were fully prepared to meet them on their home grounds, breaking the virginity of the game with an early 15mins goal by Princess Owusu.

Fabulous Ladies Afisatu Aubakari netted the 2nd goal of the day in the 28mins and Mary Amponsah of Ampem Darkoa Ladies scoring the consolation goal for her team in the 46mins, making it 2 goals to 1 in the full time duration.

The defeat leaves Ampem Darkoa Ladies second in the Northen Zone log with a point adrift, Ash-Town Ladies who sit summit with 8 points.
