Former stateman, John Dramani Mahama has asked the entire Ghanaian populace to keep fingers crossed and pray for Ghanaian winger Christian Atsu.

The former Chelsea FC and Newcastle United is reportedly amongst thousands of people trapped under rubble in Turkey after a huge earthquake on Monday morning.

He was caught up in the 7.7 magnitude earthquake.

An emergency and rescue team have been put in place to rescue the missing people.

In a tweet, Mr Mahama said, “Let’s continue to pray for our brother, Christian Atsu, and his club director. The city of Hayat is in the region affected by the earthquake. Let’s continue to pray that God spares their lives.”
